Well i couldnt find a good forum anywhere for this so of course I came back to the best place. Okay so I have an 05 escalade and i need to move my 2nd row up more. Do you guys think i can unbolt the seats from the bottem like the whole frame and just drill new holes and put the seat up say 4inches or do you think i might be in chance of hitting stuff undernither or is the body thick enough that wouldnt happen?

LOL no clue bro. I'm not sure even an escalade forum would know. I would just mark the points on the frame then look from the top and the bottom then drill away if you want, but it's not designed for that location so I'm not going to be held responsible for whatever happens in an accident. ;)

well if you do that you would have to drill all the way through the floor to put a bolt underneath the floor to get a good bit an then i still wouldnt know how safe that would be. if you marked it all out you could make sure you dont hit anything. thats why the stock holes r nuts welded in to the strongest points on frame... you could but i wouldnt recommend it tho. the last person i know that did that when they got in a accident the bolts ripped right through the floor an they got a good dent in there chest with the steering wheel.. just my 2 cents.. i always tray to look at other options like maybe make new brackets that would extend the mounting points forward a few inches. that would be alot safe an if you ever had to you got just unbolt the brackets an put it back in the stokc position so you dont loose retail on the vehical an also not worry about screwing anything up underneath the vehical.

thats a really good point i didnt even think of, i could probley have a buddy weld brakets to make the seats go up alittle, and guys i no you are probley thinking this is to fit a quad in this is actally for a car audio system :) i dont no if anyone around hear is into that

i know how it is. i was tryin to think saftey. i also have a new friend know that builds custom parts for dirt cheap.. hes got his own machine shope an just about build anything an he had to make brackets for his 52 ford truck that he just put a 5.0 in. i help draw the design out an he use his machines what ever there called to gut them out with an they bolted right in.

thats just what id recommend. its stronger an safer then drill through the floor. might not be as cheap but it would also look cleaner too.... ;)

yea deffently, im going to look at it tommrow this build has bin such a pain with this truck it needs speical GM everything to install everything down to even bolts
