I tried to test for spark today and got nothing, I read somewhere that there is a ground wire on the stator that screws on to the stator plate. Is this correct? I don't have anything grounded there just the wires coming out of each coil to the plugs on the wiring harness.

It actually started right up. I did a complete overhaul.. It was a little warmer today actually which is why I wanted to finish up the break in.

Thanks alot man, I just turned it half out and it is running great! I thought I should start at 1-1/2 and work from there since it's stock setting. I need to learn more about how carbs work. Thanks alot for the help, I'll mention you when I post my rebuild, probably sometime next week.

But why is my plug wet and I have a ton of smoke? I didn't think it would bog down if it was lean.

Nope, it runs good when I rev it up. It's idle to off idle when it bogs. When I rev it up, it doesn't come back down to idle for a while, it should only take a few seconds I hear. I'm uploading a vid now, I'll post it in a few..

Ok, I'll put it back to the stock position. Seemed it ran worst there, though. And yeah the air box lid is off, and I would run over it if I could get my engine to run right. The plug looks normal its just wet from running rich. I installed a toomey b-1 and toomey filter and it came with a 310...

Can't anyone help? I adjusted my air screw so it wouldn't bog down as much when I give it gas, now it will not come down to lower RPMs when I let off the throttle it stays revving and often backfires.

Vforce reeds, toomey b-1.. it's being broken in now and I'm having this problem. I tried putting in the other jet it was a 230 or 280 but it ran the same. Are these plastic washers critical?
