I agree. Wouldn't want to just take off the light coat that was just put on.

If you decide to use the band saw, try cutting outside the lines you draw a little bit. Give yourself room to make mistakes. You can always trim them down or sand them to the desired line. Might help prevent a few swear words and a flying band saw.

Same here...but it was my fault. I had the plastics off to clean 'em up and I closed the garage door on the rear fenders, cracking it in the same place. Hahaha

I thought about trying it out, but I don't think it is durable enough for the abuse it might see on an atv. I could be wrong though.

Powder coating is surprisingly cheap. I called up a local shop and they quoted me $150 to sandblast and PC the frame. I had called originally to ask about getting the front bumper, foot rests and rear skid plate PC'd. They said it would be less than 100 for blasting and PC'ing.

Is there some sort of heavy duty clear coat that can be applied after they are polished to preserve the look?

Polyurathane wheel spacers? Are they the ring type? Sounds like it wouldn't be strong enough for an application like this. Tell me more about them, please?

Someone else around here suggested using a table vice. It sounds like a great tool for the fronts, but the rears obviously wouldn't fit. My question is...how do you make sure that the bead has a proper seal when you put the tire back on?
