Hi again all, after having a proper check of the quad, i located a problem with the reeds, as suggested (thanks!) one of the reeds had been pushed through one of the 4 holes, no idea how, but i bent it back into shape, heated it to make it more flexible then ironed both sections flat again...

thanks for your reply! im just about to give the air filter a clean, its an aftermarket K&N one and has been working fine, will give the jets another clean, have just located a manual so i know whats what!
