    Quadzilla

Pretty much any of the older Suzuki's eat carrier and swingarm bearings, anything on the LT platform. My LT230 had the same problem, except it barely did 50mph and took it's time getting there. Motor was indestructible though. The quadzillas I've seen go for $1500 in "decent" shape. Stock...

    suggestions for knee guards

Since I cracked my shin snowmobiling a couple years ago(it was NOT a fun experience), I've been a firm believer in knee/shin guards for riding pretty much anything. I have one pair by Icon for the streetbike and snowmobile (Field Armor), which are very comfortable and light/low profile, but I'd...

    Traded blaster for a warrior

If it says "yamaha" on it the reliability thing is pretty much a given. My '90 blaster has obviously had a pretty tough life before it came to me, and with an hour's worth of TLC, it runs/drives like a champ. I've held my Vmax motorcycle, a 1200cc V4 wide open, turning 8800 RPM(around 150mph)...

    got a new toy

Cool stuff. Be careful with it though, if you're used to how a quad handles you'll be in for a rude awakening when you try to take a corner on a 3 wheeler. After riding a couple over the years I can sort of see why they got banned.

    Traded blaster for a warrior

My blaster, stock except for airbox lid and re-jet, typically takes my friend's rappy 350. I always get it off the line, but from there it's usually pretty close. Mine's more fun to ride though. Lighter, pops the front end up easier, can just throw it around a lot better.

    Standard blaster

Rejetting is not difficult. Loosen the clamps on the carb, slip it out of the boot, then just flip it on it's side to access the bowl. You don't need to disconnect anything. Remove the four screws, pull the bowl off, and the main jet is right there in the middle. Lose the lid off the airbox...

    Quadzilla Stinger 170cc Problem

Possibly, though the black plug would indicate it's too rich. I think the problem is that it's chinese. I've seen brand new chinese bikes/quads have problems like that. Cheap, sh*tty engines that just don't run well. But I'll agree that the Chinese made stuff is absolute garbage. I had one...

ive never rode a wheelie as far as this guy

It's really not that big of a deal, I've ridden with people on sportbikes who have held a wheelie for miles at a time at 150+ mph. Pop it up and then just balance, which after you do it once or twice is easier than it sounds. Squids think that a good wheelie is the trademark of an expert...

    Question for the masses part2

With the stock 13/40 gearing and just open airbox/270 re-jet, mine shows 56.5 on a handheld GPS for top end. Seemed like it ran out of gearing before running out of power, so going to a 14 might get you to 60 at the expense of some acceleration. Though honestly I seldom use 5th, and even more...

    Other ATV's You Own/Ride..

Used to have an '88 Suzuki LT230 quadrunner. Got it for $250 non-running. Rebuilt the carb and got a couple years of service from it. It was pretty beat and was getting to the point it needed one of everything. It ran and drove, but it was a rattletrap set into motion by a mouse fart. Burned...

    New to me blaster...couple questions

I'm pretty familiar with snowmobiles and motorcycles so the carb tuning/jetting thing isn't totally foreign to me, but I don't know a whole lot about 2 stroke wet clutch motors like this. Most of my experience is with 4 stroke CV carb motors that just share the oil for everything. There's no...

    New to me blaster...couple questions

It had a 250 main in it, which I assume is stock. Plug was a grayish-yellow color. Not too bad, but looked a bit on the lean side. I went up to a 290, but that was definitely too rich. Plug was black, wouldn't hold an idle for more than a few seconds, and bogged all over the place. Even at...

    New to me blaster...couple questions

OK, took it out for the first "ride" yesterday. Before that I had just kind of run it around the yard a bit. Did probably 40 miles. Got all the electrical gremlins sorted out with the help of the manual. Anyway, noticed a couple things. After running it hard(not necessarily WOT), but say at a...

    To: Ranger87

A trick that was highly effective on another forum in a case like this was to make a craigslist post about it in the area. Put as much info about this guy as possible in it and tell everyone he's a hit and run "seller". A victim on the other forum did this, and it paid off big time. The douche...
