    Engine trashed in an hour...

I understand, but I adjusted the needle to what I thought was correct too. For the most part, this kart is either WOT or on the brakes. Only time I really let up is to modulate a slide. It idled fine from the first start up after I adjusted the air screw. This is the only pic of the top that I...

    Engine trashed in an hour...

Using a PWK 28MM, I forget where I ended up on the jets, but from a plug chop I made sure that I was a bit rich for break in. No Airbox, this engine is being used in a go-kart. I just have a Uni off the carb. FMF Fatty and FMF silencer I did 3 warm up cycles just lowly blipping the throttle...

    Engine trashed in an hour...

Got our engine running, jetted correctly, even running a bit rich top and bottom to break in. Local guy slightly bored my cylinder over and ported. Stock head, stock bottom end with no vertical play. I did a leak down test and held 7psi for 10 min. Tried to kick the motor over today after...

Types of Clutches - What do I have?

Thanks guys, I ended up going with the stock clutch. Took everything apart, cleaned it really well and now it's smooth as a dream!!! Can't believe the difference that made.

Types of Clutches - What do I have?

Thanks for the info! Couple questions about the bottom HD clutch. I noticed that the metal plates between the clutch plates don't have alignment tabs for balancing the clutch. They're just circular. Is this a problem or no? Also, this doesn't have a spacer plate between the last couple plates...

97 Blaster Runs and Idles but Wont Rev without stalling

That really sounds like your ticket. As the fuel level in the bowl gets used down to the normal height setting it runs. When you put the pressure in the line and add more fuel in the bowl it bogs out.

Sounds a lot like float level or valve to me...

Types of Clutches - What do I have?

I have two clutches to choose from to put back in my blaster. Not sure which set to use. One has little friction pads, the other has a full friction surface. I was told the one with pads was a dirt digger clutch set when I bought the parts engine. I have no idea what the other one is. Can you...

    05' Engine, 90's Wiring Harness/CDI

So on the pre 02' harness, the white/red, and the black/red goes to the CDI box. My question is, on the 04' stator, what goes to those two colors leading to the CDI?

    05' Engine, 90's Wiring Harness/CDI

It's not as simple as I thought. The colors don't match up to plug the old harness into the new stator. Can someone help me out with what to connect where? I tried to read the wiring diagrams but everything I found was too blurry to see the color codes. Pics are attached. I know the Orange...

    05' Engine, 90's Wiring Harness/CDI

From what I've read, I shouldn't have problems using a new style motor(05) with an old harness and CDI, right? I just ground the green wire and hook up everything else, right? Thanks in advance for your help!

    Blaster Powered Go Kart

Thank you, Ken. I'm going to re-measure compression and send the shaved head to you. Would it help to include pictures of the port job? For the mean time, I'm going to throw he stock head on.

Yep, I fabricated the pedal setup last night. If I work on it tonight, I'll take some more pics.

    Blaster Powered Go Kart

We're running an automatic transmission cable (push/pull) and we're going to mount it to a shifter on the right. Rally style, forward down, back up
