yeah i had that broblem to, check the wires at the end of the line and see if they are together all of the way. if not its somthing up front

i love the traction of itps but mine go bald in 6 months because i ride so much. it really comes down to what type of teerain you ride on

wires? they is just one steel cable going to the shifting fork. what i think it is, is that theres a shifting rod inside of the motor and theres a metal ball that runs freely in there, that ball might have dissinegrated or welded itself to the rod just like i did
