A friend of mine gave me a 1995 blaster that had been sitting with no top end, ply wood stacked on it for a make shift work bench for over 7 years. It was UGLY at first sight. Bottom end was siezed and rust had developed on the rod and fly wheels.
I like a challenge so after a couple gallons of trans fluid and diesel I finally got it to rotate.
Installed new piston (ceramic coated), wrist pin and bearing, cylinder, head, plug, carb, reeds, and intake boot. Eliminating the need for the oil mixer, I removed it and run my premix at 32:1.Fresh oil and it started on the first kick!!!!
After proper break in (yall know what that entails) I've hammered on it but not too hard. Now it takes for ever to idle down. But hell, for free..... Im not bitchin.
