Had a blast in the snow yesterday

I just tried mine in the snow too! It worked great, but I noticed if I got into the powerband without going quick it would quickly be buried to the axle. Blasters rock for the snow!

    Snow Run!

I did not rejet for colder weather. I rejetted after the rebuild to get a good mixture and haven't bothered it since (though a recent plug chop showed a-ok). It didn't seem to have any power issues up there, though I haven't rode it much down at my place to have a real comparison to make. Ice...

    Snow Run!

Got snow in my area the past few days and being as my breakin was finally done I headed up into the snow with a good buddy of mine and boy did we have some fun. My blaster ran great, and wasn't phased by any snow if you had a careful thumb to keep from digging a big hole 8-| . I'd say at the top...

    blaster lights

Sounds like a good way to get more light simply. Out of curiosity, do the bulbs burn out quick? With the extra amp draw I'd imagine at idle your getting really low voltage. Here's my plan for extra light output, the XP-2 Model. 3000 lumens (average car headlights are around 1000, I'd say the...

    blaster lights

The problem with getting brighter lights on a blaster is not so much the mounting it has to do more with finding the power. The stock light is 45W and that's pretty much all the stator has (you may notice it dims at idle). Search around here it's been beat to death, but you can float your stator...

Cannot get any bolts/screws off... They are stuck! HELP!

Bolts are all a common size, any hardware store with a good selection of hardware will have them (Though H.D. may not). If you can find the allen or torx, get them. You'll thank yourself the next time you have to take it apart. If not, philips are not the worst thing. When I redid my motor I was...

    New to blasters, need help

Duly noted, but the system was already set up for premix, I just took out the shaft and replaced it with a blockoff plate :) That said, jetting is one thing I had the bike shop went over when I first got it running

    New to blasters, need help

Well I finally got around to to doing the repair, put about another 5 hours on it in the woods yesterday and no leaks :). Also sprung for a block-off kit for the oil injection, and I am almost done with breakin!

    Gas tank foam?

I had a go-kart years ago that had a foam-filled tank. Just as others have said, it was great unit the foam dissolved. Never could get all the gremlins out of that fuel system after that....

    New to blasters, need help

Well the leak reared its ugly head after a couple days of light riding. I was deep in the woods so I just pulled off every 5 minutes and topped it up, came out just fine. I diagnosed it as a leak where my oil injection used to be. I purchased a block off kit and went to put it on, when I...

    New to blasters, need help

Got the leak fixed, finished the heat cycles, and did about 4 hours of the breakin. Life is good, and it is running better and better :)

    Hour interval?

With my new rebuilt engine on my blaster, I got a nice little hour meter to install on it. I was wondering what ya'll thought good intervals would be for oil change, spark plug, air filter, and fuel filter services. I know on my mowers I do an oil change and plug every 25 hours, air filter every...

    New to blasters, need help

I had the bike shop leak test it the other day, it was all good. I have here a printout of the breakin instructions I found somewhere on this site, including the heat cycles (can't seem to find them now lol) I got another quart of oil and gasket today, I am planning to spend most of the day...

    New to blasters, need help

Progress today! It only took 4 months of backorder, but toomey did finally get me my part. Once I had it installed it fired right up (although a mistake on the kick start had me spooked the thing was seized for a bit). I discovered I have a leak on the side cover gasket, I'll get some rtv for a...

    New to blasters, need help

^ Starting your own thread would be best. Since There isn't a great how-to, I'll help you out. 01sicivicdude hooked me up with my cases. He is very very reasonable on prices and the cases are like new. I also paid a little extra to have him purchase and install new main bearings. I have no...
