so it has a capacitor that stores a charge (spark) then sends the spark to the coil and the coil sends it to the plug?

Looking for a stock set of rear axle castle nuts(2 of each) and washers(2 of each). Will trade a set of durablue castle nuts(2 of each) and spacers(2 of each and larger size then stock) or will pay cash.

Sounds like you really want a 4-stroke and are looking for somebody to talk you out of it. If that's what YOU want to do JUST DO IT.

I used Jasco paint remover. Paint it on with a brush, let it sit for a little while and bubble up the paint then hose and scrub it off. Worked great and dosen't hurt the plastic. Wear rubber gloves.

Take off the oil injection pump cover and make sure your oil injection hoses are still connected to the oil pump.

First thing I would do is put in a NEW spark plug. I've had bad plugs do some strange things and it's probably the cheapest thing to eliminate.

Looks like you need a Blaster manual. Click on this link Do It Yourself [Archive] - Yamaha Blaster Forum then go to #12 and follow download directions.

NGK B8ES is what the manual calls for. The BR8ES has a resistor in the spark plug to suppress ignition noise generated during sparking. Either one will work.

Not lookin for a freebie and appreciate what you do on Blasterforum and for us Blaster DUMMIES. I might be able to pick up an axle for $30.00 shipped. I'm trying to keep cost to a minimum so I can sell it cheap. I buy non-running Blasters, fix them and sell them for $100.00 over what it cost me...
