Update I went to the parts shop today and picked up a carb kit and changed all parts except the needle. The main jet before parts change was 280 so I went with that too. Running much better now, but it still hesitates just a bit when I really punch it. I will try a 250 main tomorrow...

No back fire and the brake is off. I just finished pulling and cleaning again to make sure that I did not miss something the first round. It runs pretty good until I really punch the throttle, that is when I start to loose rpms and it slows down. I can get it going again if I down shift...
