Wouldn't it be pretty much the same price for a new sleeve and piston?

yep, the cylinder has a pretty deep groove in it. I have no idea how they snapped the rod in half like that. I have no problem replacing all the bearings but the case is shot completely, it has way too many holes and I dont think it can be fixed. I have never rebuilt a motor, what will I need?

I just bought a 98 Blaster and was told that the engine needed a top and bottom end rebuild. Well after getting home and opening the motor it the block was all cracked and had holes all over it from when the rod broke. Its also missing the kick start, and rear brake. How much do you guys...
