No cutting of either frames. The 490 was very simple. First I cut all stock mounts off. I used 3/4 by 3/4 inch square stock and made a "H" for the rear and front mounts. No pics, camera is a POS

Yeah I am running a blaster with a it 490 motor on it. I am in the middle of putting a dt 250 motor on another one.

Running plus 3s on a blaster with a 490 and they seem to be holding up fine. SF don't be such a creepy freak

Mine made a clicking kinda noise, I tested psi, was also about 130. I didn't think to much of it. Now I am in the shop wrenching not riding. Everyone said mine was also piston slap. Whatever it was it's now costing time and money. If something is not right take the time to find out what and why.

130 should be fine. Are you sure the noise is comming from the motor? Does it go away at higher rpms?

The 490 that I am messing with is a five speed from a "it". I have a yz the same year that is a four speed. The dude I got the it from said he sold it so that he would not die on it. I went for one rip on it and trashed my shorts! Very impressed with it on the quad. Every time I ride the thing...

Mine had new wiseco top end, bike had about 130 psi after three kicks. After a long straight stretch wife slowed down for a corner and now I need a new top end kit, rebore and crank brearing. When you pull your top end check the crank bearing. Save time and money.
