I have a 1988 Yamaha Blaster. my quad bucks and bangs gears when I am in 1st and 2nd. I am riding fine and all of the sudden it does into neutral and won't go into gear. Then the 4tg or 5th time I go down on the shifter it finally goes into gear.
Pull clutch cover first and see if you broke the shifter or shift star if they are ok then your gonna have to split your case and look at your transmission and cam.
Well I think there are 3 ? Different springs all in one area right there ...I can't find a clear pic to show you on bing but just look in your Yamaha blaster book ( if you do not have a blaster book .....put the tools down..step away from the engine ..and get you one first)
